Royal Eagle is an Offshore 105, a well respected, purpose built, and designed, charter boat. Powered by an Iveco 320hp engine, she cruises at a comfortable 16 knots, with a top speed in excess of 21 knots (if needed). Royal Eagle is Fully Insured and Licensed and has a full Code of Practice, and full safety equipment including a liferaft is carried as standard.

Royal Eagle is comprehensively fitted out with some of the very latest in marine electronics, including 2 x V.H.F./D.S.C. Radios, Daylight Viewing Radar for the safety of all on board. 3 x G.P.S. Navigators for pinpoint accuracy, and a Colour Chart Plotter for precise drifting and mark finding. 2 x colour fish finders complement this package. Autopilot is fitted to help in those long distance trips.

Rod hire is available and bait can be arranged at cost.

This well proven, comfortable and safe boat has a very large deck area for comfort and space, with some under cover seating, a proper sea toilet for added comfort, and with the benefit of a red-hot kettle!!

The Skipper

Alan Edwards has been sea fishing for well over 39 years, many of them as a very successful charter skipper, for many years running the Excalibur charter business. He has had much experience in fishing the south coast, having worked from both Shoreham and Newhaven Harbours before settling in Brighton Marina some 15 years ago. Alan is a fully Qualified D.O.T. Boat Master, and has Sea Survival, Radio and First Aid certificates. Alan will be pleased to help should you require assistance or advice.

The Fair Chance is skippered by Jerry Oiller who has the reputation for finding good locations with better than average species of fish. Species that you can expect to catch when in season are Bass, Spurdog, Cod, Bream, Pollock and Plaice to name a few. Recent notable catches have been recorded - Plaice to 3.5lb, Pollock to 15lb, Black Bream to 3.75lb, Spurdog to 15lb and Cod to 27lb. Jerry tells me that there are bigger catches to be had.

The Fair Chance is a 25ft Philips Displacement boat with plenty of deck space and is licensed to carry 6 anglers to a distance of 15 miles. Usual day trips are 7 to 8 hours in duration however; longer trips of 10 to 12 hours be negotiated depending on tide conditions. Costs are £170.00 for the standard fishing trip with an extra charge for the longer days.

Chinquita is an Offshore 105 with a 435bhp turbocharged caterpillar engine. She is MCA registered for 60 miles offshore cruising, and fully loaded with electronics and safety equipment - your comfort and safety being our top priorities. She is a purpose built charter angling vessel offering facilities to the experienced angler and novice alike.

Tea and coffee are provided free and we're happy to arrange food by prior arrangement.

Operating out of Cougar Osbourne boatyard on the River Arun, Chinquita Charters offer convenient and safe off road parking.

Tackle and bait are available at a local shop and a café can be found within easy walking distance.

Littlehampton offers excellent fishing opportunities with Kingmere rocks only 7 miles off and plenty of wrecks offshore.

Our Joy is Littlehampton's fastest and most popular modern mid channel vessel for fishing and diving. Our Joy is skippered by an experienced father and son team - Vernon and Daniel Parker who pride themselves on putting their customers first. She is moored on the new Pier Road moorings at Littlehampton on the beautiful Sussex coast where excellent facilities for both anglers and divers can be found. For angling enthusiasts Littlehampton offers superb fishing and is very famous for Black Bream. You will also have a chance to catch Bass, Cod, Congers, Ling, Pollock, Skate, Spur dog, Smoothound, Tope and Whiting.

Having become one of the UK's top diving locations, Littlehampton has hundreds of wrecks and reefs to explore. This variety provides all level diving from novice to the more experienced diver. We are a licensed Workboat for up to 12 passengers and 2 crew and 1 tonne of cargo.

Our Joy is certificated by "MECAL" She is available for charter from Littlehampton on the south coast or nearby ports throughout the year. Our Joy is licensed to take 12 people to sea from Littlehampton for scattering ashes and lay flowers to the deep. A minister can be arranged to take the service or your own readings.
