The Floating Gaffs from Purglas are strong & rugged and are designed to take the sting out of a lively fish. Unlike all other gaffs with rigid handles - the action of a fish thrashing about in the water sends shock waves up an anglers arm causing grief to the arm and shoulder. On the other hand - The Purglas Gaff, because of its flexible handle, takes all the strain and acts as a shock absorber, greatly reducing the effects of an angry fish on the other end of the gaff.

This Gaff is ideal for landing fish in awkward and difficult locations such as long expanses of rocks, steep sea walls & jetty walls where drop nets are impractical. The Telescopic gaff is made from High Tensile 1" (25mm) aluminium tube in three sections and internally linked with a Bungie cord, pops together and fastens with spring loaded studs. Can be used as a 5ft, 10ft or fully extended - 15ft gaff . Complete with a 9" stainless steel gaff hook with a 3.75 " gape.
