large-squid
Large Squid

California Fishing Report 3 Feb 2006 - We got into the giant squid in 650ft of water. There were four of us. We caught 25 of which half were caught by me using the 2.5lb jig and an LED flashing light. I left my jig in daylight for 1/2 hour before fishing and also added the LED flashing light as well. I am sure that the combination was a killer setup. The LED light has that intense penetrating strobe brilliance; my friend Campy used the other single battery light you sent and I still out fished him. Both lights performed well at 650 + ft).
The giant squid were coming up to the boat following the ones that had been hooked. On one of my hook ups, other squid attacked my catch and severed the bodies from their heads & tentacles. Then, they went to attack another guy's catches severing the bodies from the heads as well and other giant squid were attacking the carcasses. It was an amazing sight.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0965/8269/7304/files/fishing-tackle-Mar_Jeremy_76eb22ff-4ffe-446d-9939-65473b6275fc.jpg?v=1770648927
