One of the most tried and trusted methods of catching fish are to attract them with chum. Chum triggers both a visual and an olfactory response in fresh and salt-water fish of all types. No one to date has been able to successfully develop a product that would enable the fisherman to present chum in a time released fashion directly within a designated fishing area. That is, unless you consider trailing chicken guts behind an ocean vessel for great white shark. This method of fishing greatly increases the fisherman's odds of larger and more frequent hook-ups.
