The Mussel Clam Lure called the Marseille Mussel is a copy of a real sea mussel that can be primed with different baits.

This is a plastic lure offering a housing that can be pre-loaded with drilled bullet leads up to 50gr however special leads are available (Clamshell weight specially shaped) 50gr & 80gr.

Thanks to its ergonomic shape the Moule de Marseille will often escape the problem of snagging as the lead weight and the hook are incorporated inside the shell. The snagging rate will be low as when the lure is retrieved, it is less likely to snag as it is being towed backwards with the smallest profile negotiating the nooks & crannies. You will be able to fish in the rockiest spots with minimal loss to your tackle.

Casting from the beach of a distance of up to 100mtrs or Up-Tiding from a boat to Plop & Drop (Boat or Pier) will be no problem and the use of bait elastic may not be necessary.

Used off the French coast for species like the Royal Seabream, the pre-weighted mould has it's uses however, but it also has its place off our coastlines chasing Bream, Bass, Wrasse and Gurnard to name a few and not only can you use this lure for mussel bait but also baits like Soft & Hard Shelled crab, Razor and Worm etc. An extremely versatile piece of kit.

2. Two notches on the sides for PVA thread or Bait Elastic - greater bait retention (if needed in a powercast)
