There are two Toit Fishing Pliers available, The 6.2" model & the Long Nose model at 9" in length.
Toit Fishing Pliers have been designed for working around a fish's mouth or gill area which requires finesse and control, the Short Nose model is better used in the mouth area of a fish but deeper hooked areas such as the gill area or deeper would be beneficial by using the Long Nose model.
By ensuring the business end is fully polished with no sharp edges, Toit have provided a dehooking tool that looks after those delicate areas around gills. Toit have also opted to put all the length in the handle rather than the jaws providing maximum rigidity and grip strength during hook removal. The Long Nose Pliers compact design at the business end also gives the angler the ability to push down and out for hook removal due to the high torque handle and short nose detail. The unique handle design allows for the tool to get into fairly tight spaces, especially when working around fish gills inside the mouth. The shorter jaw length and fulcrum distance also prevent bending and twisting of the jaw tips. Sprung loaded for repeat use may just give this tool the edge. This 9" overall length, Long Nose Pliers provides the angler with the perfect tool for those difficult to reach hooks.
